My name is Yakir Asaraf, I am 26 years old and live in Israel, Jerusalem.

All my life I loved photography ,but the moment I realized that photography is the place I belong to, was during my military service . I served as an officer in the Israeli army for 5 years. Photography was part of my job, albeit in the combat world, but photography is photography.
After completing my military service, I flew on a world-wide trip for two years, where photography was an integral part of everyday, and as time went on I fell in love with this world. My main passion is nature photography, whether it is underwater photography and wildlife  photography or landscapes.
Photography connects me to nature, a place where the spirit transcends the material, and the closeness to God becomes real.
